15 Upcoming Films for 2015

2014 has seen aliens, vampires and the down right strange in the horror genre and as we step into 2015, there is already a pipeline of movies set to send shivers down our spines.

#1: Beyond

If 2014 taught us something it was that aliens are still as scary as they were in 1978. However, the science fiction genre has expanded from the stalk and kill. 'Under the Skin' showed us artistic flair, 'Last Days on Mars' bought us space zombies, 'The Signal' blended 'The Matrix' with a superhero movie and 'Extraterrestrial' went back to the roots with a good old alien abduction. Now, 'Beyond' brings the alien theme to the apocalypse as the remaining living humans battle for survival.

#2: The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death

The sequel to the surprise hit and return to form for Hammer was controversial for it's 12A age rating that somehow did not represent it's terrifying story of a haunted house. Set 40 years later, the sequel is set to return the thrills back at Eel Marsh house this time focusing on a group of WW2 children evacuated from London. Rest assured, the woman in black is still at home.

#3: Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension

Volume 6 in the Paranormal saga may seem like a surprise entry in our top 15 but based on the surprise that was spin-off 'The Marked Ones' we have reignited our hope that not only will 'The Ghost Dimension' be scary but also a little more fun.

#4: It Follows

Maika Monroe made a star performance in 2014's 'The Guest' and is set to be a leading ladie in horror with 'It Follows'. Setting up a new urban legen, something the genre has been short on in recent years, the supernatural version of "tag" is one to watch out for when it gets released in May.

#5: Insidious: Chapter 3

Hands down one of the most terrifying films of the last decade, 'Insidious' is set to continue making cinema goers scream with Chapter 3. Writer and collaborator Leigh Whannell is to take on directing duties from James Wan and the film will play out as a prequel to previous events. Based on the trailer below we have a little hope that joining Lyn Shayne, Leigh Whannell and Angus Sampson will be a certain demon with a fetish for lipstick.
