The Home

THE HOME is the beginning of something special. There’s no story, not end and little character development but what it captures in just 7 minutes is sheer terror. Set in isolated Ireland, a home for unwed mothers comes under attack from the demons of the night.

Alex Essoe (STARRY EYES, THE NEIGHBOUR) takes centre stage as she goes in search of a nightly disturbance and as she tries to comfort her companions, her own fear takes over as the disturbances show their true face.

L. Gustavo Cooper, director of JUNE and THE DEVIL INCARNATE, has shown growth as a film maker. Addressing terror and fear amongst a beautifully shot short film. With tension and perfectly placed shots of the unfolding events manage to create an unnerving horror film that shines above his previous genre entries.

THE HOME is available to watch exclusively on Shudder.
