How does WOLF CREEK the TV series compare to the movies?
When I read the scripts, I was worried they wouldn’t find an actress who could serve it up to Mick Taylor. Lucy didn’t just serve it up, she threw it at me!
The TV show brings a tough adversary for Mick Taylor in Lucy Fry's Eve, is she a match to his ruthlessness?
The scripts are great and Lucy is great. The script takes her on a journey from scared teenager to vengeful animal. Lucy played it like a violin.
What made you want to bring back Mick for the TV series?
Three things. The script, the script and the script.
With the quality of TV as good as it is today, is this the end to traditional cinema for effective story telling?
No, that’s not the problem for cinema, it will survive that. A great film will always fill a cinema. Very little amount of films won’t. If illegal downloads persist and those thieving bastards keep stealing billions from the entertainment business, then cinema will be in trouble. Except for major studios bringing out something like “Fatman Vs Gooberman - Oil and Snot don’t mix - 3"
WOLF CREEK has garnered a cult status amongst horror fans, did you ever expect this?
Not until I saw a rough cut of WOLF CREEK 1. Greg McLean (director) exploded it off the screen.
The franchise is not without its Gorier moments, is there a limit to where Mick would stop?
Only if he runs out of oxygen.
What's next for Mick Taylor?
Dunno, Maybe Illegal Downloaders on toast would be good.

I think the gutsiness, the uniqueness, the grittiness, the inventiveness. I think we do well internationally because we have balls, figuratively of course, I include our incredible women.

WOLF CREEK follows American teenager Eve Thorogood (Lucy Fry, 11.22.63) on holiday with her family in Northern Australia. Sadistic killer Mick targets the family, viciously slaughtering them for his own twisted pleasure. Seriously injured, Eve survives the massacre of her parents and little brother, and sets out to bring the killer to justice. And so begins a chilling game of cat and mouse, with the roles reversed and the hunter becoming the hunted. A Tarantino-esque revenge tale,WOLF CREEK reveals Eve’s complex and extraordinary journey, as she evolves from child to adult, from prey to predator. But can she triumph over Mick Taylor, evil incarnate?
