Gremlin

You have seen this one long back and now you are prepared to watch it once again in a reformed manner. But this GREMLIN is seriously different from earlier effort. Surely, this one has nothing to do with Joe Dante's GREMLINS, but purely title borrowing.

The poster screams, "You can't kill it.. You can't escape it.. You can only give it to someone you love!" Reminds you of IT FOLLOWS, it did to me at least.

Just like any other curse movies, this one has the same plot where Adam Thatcher gets a mysterious box from a relative as a gift containing a terrible secret, a creature that will brutally kill everyone he cares about one by one. The only way to get away himself from the curse is to give the box to someone he loves, continuing the never ending circulation of this ancient evil. As the ominous timer on the box counts down to its end, Adam can only imagine the massacre of horrors that await.

Keeping in mind all the facts, I didn't find GREMLIN to be a boring film. This one was rather entertaining and engrossing at many points. The creature was very well created with CGI which was very important. The movie did a very good job of blending stories together and keeping it real tight.

If I talk about the performances, I really found everyone very good in the movie. Ryan Bellgardt writes and directs the movie by doing equal justice with all the performers and their respective part.

The camera work of the movie was pretty impressive and gelled very well with the entire screenplay and the atmosphere as well. The set design, production value and background score was terrific and up to the mark.

If you are looking for a creature horror movie with a engrossing and entertaining angle, I would certainly recommend Gremlin which will surely make your day. Uncorck'd Entertainment releasing GREMLIN on July 11th 2017 on VOD and other digital downloads.
